Terms

Terms of use.

These terms cover the websites — reading whity.dev and docs.whity.dev. The software is a separate matter: it's governed by its licence, which grants you far more than any terms page does.

The software is not governed by this page. Whity Core is licensed underAGPL-3.0-only with the Whity Plugin Exception, and the plugin SDK under MIT. Your rights to use, modify, self-host and redistribute the software come from those licences — nothing here narrows them. See the licence page, or read the LICENSEfile itself.
  1. Scope

These terms apply to your use of the websites at whity.dev anddocs.whity.dev. They do not apply to the hosted application atapp.whity.dev, which is provided separately, nor to any instance of Whity that you or a third party self-hosts.

  2. Using the sites

You may read, link to, quote and share this material freely. Please don't attempt to disrupt the sites, probe them for vulnerabilities without using thedisclosure process, or scrape them in a way that degrades service for others. Automated access for indexing and for AI assistants is expressly welcome — see llms.txt and robots.txt.

  3. Content and documentation

Documentation published at docs.whity.dev is compiled from markdown files in the whity-core repository and is covered by that repository's licence. Other website content — page copy, layout and design — is © Amro K. Saleh. Quoting with attribution is fine; wholesale republication as your own is not.

  4. Name and marks

The code is free; the name is not. "Whity" and the Whity logo are the project's marks. You may use the name to refer to the project accurately — including to say your plugin or service works with Whity — but not in a way that suggests your product is official, endorsed, or is Whity itself. SeeTRADEMARK.mdfor the detail.

  5. No warranty

These websites and their content are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Documentation describes software that is pre-1.0 and changing; it may be incomplete or out of date relative to the code. Nothing here is professional, legal or security advice, and pages describing the licence are explanations rather than legal opinions.

  6. Links to other sites

Links to GitHub and other third-party resources are provided for convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or availability.

  7. Changes

These terms may change; the date below records when they last did. Continuing to use the sites after a change means you accept the revised terms.

  8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Nothing in them limits any right you hold under the software licences described above.
